Athlete's
Competitive Edge (A.C.E.) Names Beach Volleyball Tour Player & Fox Sports
Color Commentator New Spokesperson
Former All-American Angie Kammer to Promote World's First Online Sports Assessment
& Training Program
San Diego, CA (April
14, 2000) - Angie Kammer, member of the Beach Volleyball America (BVA) professional
tour and a Fox Sports color commentator, has been named a spokesperson
for Athlete's Competitive Edge (A.C.E.), the world's first and most comprehensive
on-line sports assessment and training program from Enhanced Performance Systems
(EPS).
Kammer, a native of Indiana and former volleyball All-American at Penn State
University (PSU), will promote A.C.E. (www.TAKEACE.com) to athletes, teams and
sports groups, offering expert testimony on how A.C.E. helps her better Perform
Under Pressure(. Kammer will also relate how A.C.E. can help all athletes, from
the recreational player to the professional, enhance their performance by focusing
their mind.
"I have been playing volleyball for over 15 years," explained Kammer. "With
all that experience, I thought I knew every training method to help improve
my game. A.C.E. showed me a completely new and exciting training program - one
that links concentration to performance. Many athletes know what to do physically
to improve their game, but not many know what to do mentally. I'm excited to
relate A.C.E.'s important mind-focusing programs to athletes in a variety of
sports and at all levels. A.C.E. continues to make me a better player and I
want to help other athletes realize the importance of improving the mental part
of their game."
After a stellar career at PSU, which included her 1996 All-American honor, inclusion
on the All-Big Ten Team ('95 & '96) and a 1994 NCAA Finals appearance, Kammer
joined the BVA tour in 1999. In her rookie year on the tour, she placed in the
top ten in three out of the five tournaments she entered. Also in 1999, Kammer
joined Fox Sports as a color commentator covering women's college
volleyball and softball.
"Angie is a proven winner and a dedicated athlete who know how to perform under
pressure," explained Marc Sagal, COO of Enhanced Performance Systems. "She clearly
understands how concentration affects mental toughness and the ability to accomplish
goals and perform to full potential. As a spokesperson, Angie will represent
EPS and A.C.E. and play a key role in introducing athletes, particularly female
athletes, to the importance of our training programs."
